The nitty gritty

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our FAQ first!

Food & Drink provided?

Yes! Included in the weekend are simple meals: Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast and afternoon barbecue, the Wedding Dinner, and Sunday brunch. There will be wine and beer provided up to a certain amount – as well as a bar you can purchase extra drinks or cocktails at. Simple snacks and drinks may be purchased at the general store, but you may want to bring additional favorites (each cabin has a fridge).

Accommodations

Think “camping,” although each cabin has electricity, bathroom, shower, kitchen, beds, little has changed since the 1920s. The cabins sleep 4 people (we will be figuring out arrangements based on your RSVP responses and try to make everyone comfortable). The beds have pillows but require you to bring linens (sheets + pillow case) blankets and/or sleeping bags (be prepared for colder nights). There will be limited bedding available for those who cannot squeeze it in – email kayryan2025@gmail.com if you need help gathering these locally. Visit the location page for pictures of the cabins.

What will the weather be like?

This is a beautiful time of year in this area no matter the weather! That being said, prepare for variable mountain weather and check the forecast leading up to the wedding. Average daytime highs in September are 80-90 degrees! Evenings cool off significantly around 30s – 40s the 40s; bring warm layers for evenings and night activities. Rain is always a possibility.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, kids and babies are welcome! Under 6 years old is no cost at all, and 7-12 years is $275.

Is there Cell Phone Service?

No. Not unless you have satelitte (and you would know if you did). There is spotty service nearby, a landline at the general store, and a satelitte device for emergencies. If this is of concern, please email us!

What should I wear?

Our weekend gathering can be described as “Fancy Camp Vibes”. We want you to feel beautiful and comfortable. If you need an excuse to get a lil fancy, go for it. Patterns and fun colors are welcomed.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn’t I wear?

Fun, practical, flat footwear is strongly encouraged – leave your stilettos at home! The ceremony area will be grass and uneven ground. If you want a heel, Kay recommends your wedges/clogs. For the weekend, bring comfortable shoes for walking around camp and river sandles for dipping in the water.

Can I bring a date?

We were not able to offer everyone a plus one. If you got an email invite and we did not reach out about your plus one, the invite is just for you. Thanks for your understanding! We carefully planned the guest list to ensure that we can accommodate food for all our friends and family. Email/text us if you have questions.

Will there be dancing?

YES! Saturday night after fueling up on dinner, we shall dance!

Where should I park?

Each cabin has a spot for about one vehicle; carpool with your crew. We suggest using foot traffic once you arrive at the venue. We will have signs and sleeping arrangements at the general store upon arrival.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Most events will take place outside. Friday night’s event is inside.

Are pets allowed?

No – please leave pets at home. Thanks for your understanding!
If this poses a significant barrier to your wedding attendance, please reach out to us to let us know.
